Thank you, thank you, thank you...
Today we ate BBQed steaks...and corn straight off the cob...and bought strawberries for .98 cents a carton...
and my boy brought me a beautiful bouquet of "front yard" flowers...
...and we dined out on the deck as a family... and soaked up your warmth...and listened to the little girls next door squeal and run through their yard as their family assembled their brand new swing set.
My little guy's freckles grow darker each day. His bath water is delightfully gray, and his feet smell like a hobby farm. All just seems oh so right with the world...
We're only 3 days in, and already we have enough Popsicle sticks to build a fairly large mansion for a few fortunate neighborhood birds. One Question: Who is pregnant, has two thumbs, and is responsible for eating 90 to 95 percent of said Popsicles in the house? Answer: THIS GIRL right here!!! (points at self with, yes, you guessed it, her two thumbs...)
I sure love you, June.
You are one crazy-awesome chick...
Let's keep it friendly (and sunny, and warm-ish) mmmkay?
Kay.
Love,
Lola

I can taste that sweet corn from here!
Love backyard dinner's on a warm Utah night! You make me miss Utah so much! Enjoy your strawberries that same carton here is over 5$ it's insane. Won't be enjoying Strawberries for a couple weeks more. Have a wonderful weekend with your boys!
Whoa, where the heck are you buying strawberries for that cheap? You gotta let me in on this, my little boy loves strawberries!
Ahahahahaha...I had to laugh at just that first post because I thought maybe, just maybe you were serving your family a pot full of yummy corn on the cob for dinner. When I was sick with Sophie - and I mean SICK!, sometimes, we would have corn, JUST corn on the cob for dinner. I'm an Indiana girl, you know. We still laugh about it to this day. My husband says to my mom, you know you raised a girl that thinks corn is a meal in and of itself?
Isn't it great to have BBQ weather finally? I could handle this for 6 months straight!
Kestrel - The strawberries I bought were just at walmart! But, they also have huge flats for next to nothing at our local little grocer. Love spring!
Nisha - That actually sounds like something we might do too! ha ha! My poor hubs and kiddo... But this time we enjoyed some tri-tip steaks and mashed potatoes as well. I just shot the pics as the hubs was getting everything set out :) You WOULD have been able to see steak on Kort's plate, but he devoured ALL of it before I even had the chance to get my camera back out!
That is awesome.
Mmmm. I had corn on the cob from the BBQ this weekend too. We even got the sun over here in England. Joy!
