I can't believe it...

I'm alive!

{Now, at first glance, this may sound a bit dramatic, but I kid you not, around 3:00 a.m. last night, I wasn't sure that I was going to make it. Seriously.}

Worst.flu.bug.ever.

Think: crawling to the bathroom, blacking out half-way there {no joke} waking up {eventually}with your face in the carpet, and crawling the rest of the way to the bathroom and puking, then kneeling on the bathroom floor and praying {more fervently than you have probably prayed in a very long time} that you can please, {pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease} travel the whole, whopping 8 feet that lies between the bathroom and your bed without passing out again {pleasepleasepleaseplease} and then, you make it, and fall on your face, and your body is numb and tingly, and a cold sweat is dripping from your forehead, and then, just before you slip into unconsciousness, the baby starts crying in the other room, and he needs to be nursed, so you pray again {pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease} let me make it into his room without blacking out, and {pleasepleasepleaseplease} let me nurse him for 15 minutes straight without having to toss him back into his crib {without even letting him finish eating} and dash for the bathroom, and without throwing up all over his nursery, and without passing out with him in my arms because that would be a whole other kind of nightmare, and all I have to say, is: Wow. God is good, and my Heavenly Father loves me. And we made it through {barely}. But wow.

That was HORRIBLE! {Okay, horrible doesn't even being to cover it, but since I my vocabulary is lacking some incredible "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad" hybrid word that hasn't been invented to describe it yet, horrible will simply have to do.}

On a lighter note, now that I can hold my head up and have even managed to keep down a half cup of ice chips, I finally updated Housewife on Fire, and there is a wonderful link to a wonderful post that I think EVERY woman and wife and mother should read. So trust me, you want to go to there.

Other than that, I am going to go ahead ask y'all to pray for me. Better yet, pray for Mr. Tentens. Pray that he will be protected from having ANYTHING to do with this nasty flu bug. Because, honestly, the thought of him having to go through something even reminiscent of what Kort and I have been through? Well, that really might just kill me.

Awww...sweetie! Poor you!!! Kort seemed to know what he was talking about when he said there's no way for you to know how horrible he felt (poor little guy!), assuming of course that it's the same flu bug he just had...and not a nasty bout of food poisoning or something...:P

Hope you feel better soon...and I truly hope sweet Tennyson doesn't catch it, too!

(btw...a totally unimportant obsvervation...you might want to update your profile to read Kortland AND Tennyson's mom...just sayin' since I'm sure with the other half a billion things you're keeping up with and keeping busy with, it's probably flown under the radar ;D)
