Am I sort of evil for loving sick days?

Photobucket
{Sick Day Survival Necessities. And a few random observations.}

I just sort of love them... I really do.
I love a feverish, weak little body curling into mine.
I love tickling his back and running my fingers through his hair.
Rinsing out throw up buckets. {yes, I love doing gross and unpleasant things for the people I love...is that weird?}
Administering Pedialite Freezer Pops.
Rinsing out more {and more and more} throw up buckets.
A 7 year old boy who is too weak and tired to do anything other than let me hold him...
and watch AFV...
and play the occasional video game...
all in our jammies.
all in my bed {which, I'm not gonna lie, is pretty nasty right about now.}

I love that the only one he wants in the world is me.
{Selfish? Yep. And I'm not even sorry. I mean, I'd never wish this on my little love, but hey, since it's already happening...might as well love the now...}
I love "assisting" as he builds the amazingly huge lego firetruck set that gaga got him for Christmas.
I love slowing down.
I love doing nothing.

I love the 3 a.m. dialogue:
{Staring at the ceiling, humidifier humming...}
Mom, I. don't. feeeeeeeeeeeeeel. good.
I know, baby, I am so sorry.
You DON'T know. You don't have any idea just how very bad it is.
I know that I don't know, but I really am sorry.
Mom?
Yes?
I love you more than you could ever think of.
I love you too, bud. More than YOU could ever think of.
Well I love you to the end of the planets and back.

{And so it goes,
back and forth,
times a million, times a billion,
all the way to Pluto,
all the way to the outer edges of the Milky Way,
and then all the way to the end of the universe,
because the universe has no end,
and neither does our love.}

So, I love sick days.
Can you blame me?

Awww....Sorry your big boy is feeling sick in your house, but it does make for some mushy conversation and quality mother and son time :)
