Tuesdays Around the World! "Today"

"Today" happens to be my nine year anniversary. And oh man, how I love my man...

I can't believe it's been nine years.
I can't believe we have our second baby on the way.
I can't believe we have a darling (sassy, trixy, fun, handsome, loving) six year old already here.
Photobucket
I can't believe we have buried two cats, 3 frogs, 2 fish, and a hamster.
I can't believe we have two dogs.
I can't believe we have our own little home in our own little slice of (cold, Utah-ish) paradise.
I can't believe that even when we couldn't have babies, and I was a wreck, he still wanted me more than he wanted any of the great things that one always hopes will come in a marriage.
Photobucket
I can't believe that he mows the lawn every week.
I can't believe that he still opens the car door for me. (okay, I CAN believe that...but it's still pretty amazing, don't you think?)
I can't believe he still reaches over and tugs on my seatbelt to make sure that it latched right and that I am safe.
I can't believe that we still lay in bed laughing till two a.m. with tears streaming down our faces, and stomachs aching something fierce.
I can't believe that he is still the one person who "gets" me, even when I feel like no one else does.
I can't believe that he is still the number one person I would want to talk to, to cry to, and confide in.
Photobucket
I can't believe that, after nine years of marriage, I couldn't tell you one thing I don't like about him. Not even if I tried. Not even if there was a gun to my head.

Sure, he is sort of like an 80 year old man in that he would rather stay home and snuggle in bed with me and eat home made chocolate milkshakes than go out. But I love that about him too. I love everything. All of the perfections and imperfections that make him...well, him.

If this post hasn't pushed you to your absolute "sappy-mushy-goop-blech" limit, then please feel free to read my ode to kyle. (Which comes complete with the story of our engagement...the break off of said engagement, our RE-engagement, and the wedded bliss that thankfully followed. - with pictures!)

Be sure and visit communal global today and share what TODAY looks like in YOUR little slice of the globe! Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you.

There are a few of my girlfriends whose darling sweet men bring me to tears when I think of them. I just love these women so much & to know that they have someone who really treats them the way they deserve to be treated & above & beyond that, well it brings me heaps & heaps of joy. Kyle, although I haven't been able to spend much time with him is one of these. I love him because I love you. Please say you'll join us on a cabin trip this summer. More than one would be okay too.
Happy anniversary lovers!

I love him. I am not going to tell you that the seat belt latching thing made me cry a little. I think that would make me sound super dorky!

You are a beautiful couple. I am so happy that you have such a wonderful family and that there is lots of love. I love your love!

You make the world a better place!

Happy anniversary! The seatbelt thing was my favourite too. I'm going to tell my husband that one - cause my husband sounds just as thoughtful as your, but he doesn't do that. Great post.

Happy anniversary. This reminds me of an older cousin who married his sweetie, but they had no children. I loved the way they doted on each other for over 50 years. I let them "adopt" me sometimes for the day or an evening. They were the sweetest step grandparents I could have wished for.
