A book club for 5 year old boys.
Kortland's first recommendation is
Curious George at the Baseball Game.
By Margret & H.A. Rey
Now, most of you mothers out there know that Curious George
(and his silly monkey antics) is a gift from heaven on those days when the sink is overflowing, the baby is lost in a pile of laundry, and your sanity is hanging by a thread. It's fun AND educational. (don't we all love that?) Kortland adores every book in the entire C.G. library and he regularly watches the show on PBS as well. The C.G. books are always funny, but this one had us laughing so hard it hurt. If you have boys between the ages of 4 and 6, I highly recommend
reading this one to them.
This is Kortland's favorite page.
George is trying to get in front of the camera so he can see
himself on the big screen at the baseball game.
The illustrations are hilarious.

Next, Kort wants to tell you about
Dinosailors
By Deb Lund
This is a book about a group of adventuresome Dinos that sail out on the high seas and have themselves a little barf-fest. Now what on earth (you may ask) would a 5 year old little boy love about that? The text on the above photo says:
Their dinotummies slosh and churn.
They groan with every twist and turn.
Their paling faces dinofrown.
"Heave ho! they cry, "It won't stay down!"
and then there's this:
Yes. Those are, in fact, Dinosailors projectile vomiting
off the side of the ship.
Do you see the sparkle in those eyes?
He thinks this is completely hilarious.
I'd ask Kortland to tell you why he loves this book,
but I'm fairly certain that's already been made abundantly clear!
Tune in next time, and Kortland will bring you up to speed on additional literary masterpieces of our day!

My nephew loves dinosaurs.
And I bought my nephews Christmas Curious George books for Christmas. Good times.
Michael has been obsessed with dinosaurs ever since he was one for Halloween. His favorite Dinosaur book is "Dinosaur Roar".
