I have been laughing so hard all morning reviewing these posts and I decided to comment to let Kristina know of my sincere appreciation for the much needed humor, and this is what I wrote:
"Wow, okay, I know this may be a little awkward, but it has to be said.
There are three things of which I am certain:
1. Kristina is hilarious.
2. There's a part of her, and I don't know how dominant that part may be, that longs to make me pee myself...and
3. That I am undeniably and irrevocably in love with her. Yep. I just said it. That jeeeust happened. Deal with it. I'm not ashamed."
So, when I was getting ready to post it, I read it aloud to Kyle to make sure that I had spelled things right and that it made sense, and my cute in laws were in the den with us and this is the hilarity that ensued - I actually had to send Kristina another comment to tell her about it and this is what it said:
"Ahhh ha ha ha ha! K, so I just told my 68 and 85 year old in-laws about the comment I left on your blog and here are the suggestions that followed:
Mom-in-law: Is she going to think your a lesbian because you said that you love her?
Me: No, she "gets" my sense of humor, she won't think that.
Mom-in-law: Well, you should tell her that you're being sarcastic, just to make sure.
Me: No, we talk like this all the time, I'm, pretty sure she'll know that I'm joking.
Dad-in-law: (who is like, 80 years old and the cutest guy ever) Well, you should just put "duh" at the end of it because that always means that your kidding.
Me: (stifling a laugh so hard that it hurts) okay guys... I'll get right on that.
My smart-a husband: Hey babe, you should just put "J/K" after it, because J/K means "just kidding" and that way she'll know that you're not really a lesbian!
Ahhh, nothing like sharing a bit of sassy blog banter with the elderly!"

I totally thought you had a lesbian crush on me. I was so excited! You could be the Samantha Ronson to my Lindsay Lohan! Or the other way around. Because Samantha is sort of mannish. So, whatever. Yeah.

Ha ha ha! wait...you didn't specifically say "duh" or "j/k" or "Hey.Laura. I'm. being. sarcastic." following that comment, so does that mean that you really love me? (Like, really really, give me an academy award love me?) Yay! I'll be the Ronson to your Lohan anyday!
