So, I went to check in on what my good ol' friend Celeste was up to this morning and stumbled upon quite a gem! Look at what she made!
(Below is the excerpt that accompanied this picture)
"Our cute friend Wes recently got off probation, yeah for no drugs! Anyway, we're proud of him for not being a meth-head anymore, and staying clean, so Matt & I made a cake to celebrate. He LOVED it! Said it was the best cake he'd ever had. He really likes poppy-seeds, and now that he doesn't have to pass random drug tests, we celebrated with an almond cake with poppy-seed filling and vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. If you can't tell, this is one of the corner squares from the Monopoly board. I forgot to write "In Jail" on top, but I suppose the "Just Visiting" part was the most important part though. Good job, Wes! "
Dude, she is so my kind of girl - any reason for a party right? ...and honestly, when was the last time you read something so funny? I especially loved the part about the poppyseeds. I have a cousin with whom I am very, very close who is finishing up a 7+ year prison sentence in Michigan. I love him so much and I'm so proud of the person he has become. He was in a dark, bad, ugly, ugly place that has haunted him ever since he got clean, and his turn around, in my opinion is something so, so worthy of celebration! I'm going to have to hire Celeste for a repeat of this little beauty so we too can party when I get to see my sweet, amazing Tim again! Thanks Celeste! I'm so happy I know you... and your blog ;)

K, and does anyone else find it totally unfair that she is smart, talented, funny, tall, and totally, utterly, ridiculously good-looking? K, just checking.
