Kort came running into the kitchen just before school and grabbed a mixing bowl out of the cupboard.
Me: "What are you doing bud?"
Kort: "Making apple sauce"
Me: "You have to leave for school in 5 minutes."
Kort: "It's okay mom,"(pulling a dining room chair over to the counter and plucking apples from the fruit bowl.) "I saw it on PBS and it only took a few minutes!"
After a five minute negotiation I had him talked into holding off until after school, and here is the final result. (It really was easy - not to mention fun.) Funny, I'd never thought to make it before.
