So, we have been in need of a pencil sharpener for...oh...I dunno, I'd say roughly a year and a half.
And every time we've set out to get one, we've been distracted... and haven't gotten one.
And every time Kort needs to start on his homework, we spend the first 10 minutes of "homework time" searching for a usable pencil.
We have roughly 50 UNsharpened pencils laying dormant around the house. It drives Kortland crazy. BUT guess what? Dad finally bought a pencil sharpener at the store today. And do you want to know what Kortland did ALL evening? (What's that? Oh, the pictures gave it away? Oh. Right.)
Well, what I'm trying to say is:
We are no longer pencilsharpenerless!
{Pictured here: Kortland demonstrating his "concentration tongue".)
Isn't it wonderful?

It's the little things! I love this, those sharpened pencils become so elusive with homework time rolls around:)
It's funny how a 79 cent pencil sharpener is in such demand but no one ever has one. We need more pencil sharpeners in this world and I am proud to say that I finally got one, too.
