awesome consignment event.

Last spring, my sister in law invited me to go to a huge children's consignment event with her, and I totally loved it! They had cribs, bouncers, exersaucers, bassinets, toddler bedding, TONS of clothes in every size imaginable, maternity clothes, shoes, toys, movies, you name it!

It was like a huge garage sale, only better. Everything was clean and gently used, and pretty much everything was "of interest" to me as a mother. You know, rather than having to sift through half-done pieces of needle work, magazines from the 80s, and a plethora of old vases in an attempt to find the good stuff. (Okay, 80s magazines "technically" fall into my personal definition of "good stuff" but not so much when I am looking to feather my nest with all things baby... )

Some of our favorite finds at the event were:

*A TON of Roald Dahl books for a dollar or two a piece. (Kort and I LOVE him.)
*"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" Book. (Eric Carle is EXPENSIVE...but not on consignment!)
*Ben Ten action figures, brand new in their original packaging. ($3.00 each - SCORE!)
*Lots of cute, CUTE girl's clothes for my little niece. (Expensive brand names, at great prices.)
*Movies!

So anyway, I joined their mailing list, and just got an updated email about their fall event, and I thought I would pass the info along to all of you. Their fall sale even includes (drum roll please) HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!!!!! Oh how I love Halloween costumes! And I love inexpensive Halloween Costumes even more.

You can also go here to visit their website.
Also, if you are interested in SELLING YOUR OWN STUFF at their event, you can get signed up to do that as well!

I love consignment stores. And thrift stores too! The bad thing is, as your children get older and older, there are no clothes in their size : (

We love Ronald Dahl too! We just got a book by him that I had never heard of.

Hope you and the boys are having a very happy day!
