Today I am Loving...

*Pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, apples (not WITH the pancakes per se), and zucchini and cheese omelettes, (All of which I have consumed in mass quantities BEFORE 12:00 p.m.! And it's staying down people! Staying DOWN! Yay!)

*SunChips! Oh, how do I love thee... let me count the ways... 1.) Your amazingly delicious, crispy, grainy crunch. 2.) Your beyond-tasty Harvest Cheddar flavoring. 3.) The way you make me feel like I'm eating like a health conscious hippie rather than the awesome chip-guzzling trucker chick that I was only a few short days ago... 4.) Your new 100% fully compostable bag - which makes me feel like I'm all sorts of "Green" and contributing to a healthier, happier earth - despite the fact that, if I'm being honest, I make pretty much no effort to do so otherwise...hey, just keepin' it real. So, I guess I love you 4 ways, SunChips. (Shhhh... Don't tell Chili Cheese Fritos - mmmkay? Curse this fickle heart of mine!)

*Dogs. Because, well isn't it obvious?

*Fiona Apple. Yes, I just said Fiona Apple. Sure, she's nuttier than a squirrel turd and hasn't had a legitimate album out since the late 90s, but man, I love that girl. Her "Tidal" Album was genius I tell ya! Pure genius! It totally helped me through a rough patch when I was a sophomore in high school and some guy dogged me for some girl and it really hurt my feelings for like, 2 whole weeks, and I was bitter, and in serious need of angry chick music, and Alanis Morissette had already been played to death (and for good reason, as she clearly rocked back then), and I just really needed something fresh and new...and Fiona was there. Ah, what a friend. What an angry, man-hating, lovely friend. This was my favorite angry chick song at the time.

And for the record, yes, I do look back and laugh (like, really hard) at the whole situation, and I thank the Lord above that all sorts of guys took themselves out of the equation so that I was free and clear to find the hubs, and make a yummy little boy, and live a yummy little life, and adopt two fantastic dogs, and then make another yummy little boy (after 5 years of fun in trying) and *sigh* it's all just very good. Thanks Fiona. Thanks high school guys who got the heck out of the way. Still love Fiona though. Her stuff is fantastic.
