Makeover sneak peek:

Photobucket
I am going to be posting over at Housewife on Fire for the next little bit.
I would love it EVER so much if you would join me over there.

I just barely posted the before and afters of my living room and dining room makeovers and also have some fun, old school Easter stuff coming later this week too {woot woot!} so come for a visit, you know, if you're in the neighborhood. :)

I can't believe it...

I'm alive!

{Now, at first glance, this may sound a bit dramatic, but I kid you not, around 3:00 a.m. last night, I wasn't sure that I was going to make it. Seriously.}

Worst.flu.bug.ever.

Think: crawling to the bathroom, blacking out half-way there {no joke} waking up {eventually}with your face in the carpet, and crawling the rest of the way to the bathroom and puking, then kneeling on the bathroom floor and praying {more fervently than you have probably prayed in a very long time} that you can please, {pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease} travel the whole, whopping 8 feet that lies between the bathroom and your bed without passing out again {pleasepleasepleaseplease} and then, you make it, and fall on your face, and your body is numb and tingly, and a cold sweat is dripping from your forehead, and then, just before you slip into unconsciousness, the baby starts crying in the other room, and he needs to be nursed, so you pray again {pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease} let me make it into his room without blacking out, and {pleasepleasepleaseplease} let me nurse him for 15 minutes straight without having to toss him back into his crib {without even letting him finish eating} and dash for the bathroom, and without throwing up all over his nursery, and without passing out with him in my arms because that would be a whole other kind of nightmare, and all I have to say, is: Wow. God is good, and my Heavenly Father loves me. And we made it through {barely}. But wow.

That was HORRIBLE! {Okay, horrible doesn't even being to cover it, but since I my vocabulary is lacking some incredible "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad" hybrid word that hasn't been invented to describe it yet, horrible will simply have to do.}

On a lighter note, now that I can hold my head up and have even managed to keep down a half cup of ice chips, I finally updated Housewife on Fire, and there is a wonderful link to a wonderful post that I think EVERY woman and wife and mother should read. So trust me, you want to go to there.

Other than that, I am going to go ahead ask y'all to pray for me. Better yet, pray for Mr. Tentens. Pray that he will be protected from having ANYTHING to do with this nasty flu bug. Because, honestly, the thought of him having to go through something even reminiscent of what Kort and I have been through? Well, that really might just kill me.

T.V. {and such}

Large version

I had so much fun at channel 2 news last Friday morning! Everyone was super friendly, plus I got all the free Starbucks hot chocolate I wanted from a big shiny machine in the back. As all of you know, the Provo Tabernacle caught fire around 2:00 a.m. that morning, so they were extra busy with breaking news on the status of the fire and kept having to kill my segments.

It was okay, I totally understood {I would want to be able to turn on my t.v. and find out what was going on with the fire too!} People kept coming over to talk to me in the lobby {where my segment was set up to air} and saying "We are so sorry, we just never know what's going to happen with breaking news..." and I was like... "You obviously aren't a stay at home mom, because I am THRILLED to just BE here, in cute-and-spit-up-free-clothes, sipping free hot chocolate, wearing way too much make up, blinking an extra lot to make full use of my fake eyelashes, and messing with my bangs every two to three minutes. So exciting I tell ya, pure bliss!"

Debbie was awesome to shoot the segment with, she is fun, smart, and way easy to talk to.

You can go here to see the "hit" {that's what they call it in "the biz," you know}

You can also visit housewifeonfire.com to see the bucket list tree and also to get the Christmas Bucket List.

Oh, and due to the fact that my bffs are totally bugged with the one way conversation I am having with myself these days, {ending with a text from Celeste saying "disabled comments = lame" yesterday} comments will now be turned back on. ;) Having a one-way conversation with myself might actually be worse than what I was worried about in the first place.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Housewifey on Fire

Large version

I am launching a new bloject this week! (Yes, I just made up that term...blog/project ='s bloject... Get it? Pretty good eh? Yeah...that's just how I roll.) I'm really excited about it. It's called Housewife on Fire. I am going to be sort of busy trying to keep the new housewifey goals of getting out of my bathrobe before 2:00 p.m. everyday, and showering regularly, and cleaning up my house a little bit here and there and such, so I may not post over here a whole lot this week! Then again, maybe I will... who knows? (Answer: Definitely not me.)

So come check it out!
I'd love to have your input as we go along.

XOXO,
Lola
