A few thoughts...

1.I really, REALLY appreciate the comforting words regarding my big fat FAIL on my glucose test. You have no idea how much that means to me. The good news is, self control is really easy for me. I can eat any diet plan and do as much testing as necessary. The scariest part was reading all of the bad side effects that this diabetes can have on Baby Bob. But, I know that these are mostly due to UNCONTROLLED gestational diabetes, and mine would/will be ANYTHING BUT uncontrolled. So, it's cool! Just an extra little hurdle. Thank you so, so much for sharing your stories with me! Your healthy, beautiful children give me reassurance like no other.

2. My awesomely awesome neighbor brought by fresh, brown eggs! I am so jealous of his backyard chickens... it helps ease my green monster a little when he shares the bounty! I really don't like buying eggs from large (abusive, unethical) farms. Now, I am lucky enough to have TWO neighbors who bring by leftover eggs every once in awhile to ease my conscience... Yay!

3. My thoughts are with my cute sister in laws. BOTH are survivors of breast cancer, and while I couldn't go walk with them today (At the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure) and celebrate how far they've come, they are certainly in my thoughts today. I am so glad they are still in my life!

4. I was hunting online for cute baby beanies and stumbled across these lovlies.

{that giraffe is my absolute FAVE!}

and here is the description that followed:

"These one-of-a-kind, super soft stuffed animals are exclusively hand knit in Peru, where The Playful World works directly with an artisan group that follows fair trade practices, providing work and training for impoverished women. Purchasing products from The Playful World creates opportunities for families in need."

They are $45.00, (yikes, I know) and if I had $45 to spend on a stuffed animal, I would SO do it for one of these... it's justifiable (to me, at least) because it supports awesome women who are learning new skills to support their families. I think this is so beyond cool. Plus, are they not UNBELIEVABLY charming to boot? Yay to Land of Nod for carrying a product that enables these women to make a living. Don't you just love that?

5. Bubbuh is laying by me on the couch. He has horrible gas. It is killing me!

Happy Mother's Day Lola! I hope you are having a awesome day! I love that your neighbors share their eggs. We would need ten chickens to feed my hubs we buy 60 eggs aweek. He is the king of egg whites! When I lived in SLC I always did the Race for the cure with my sisters its a moving event and I miss being apart of. I know you are worried about your baby in the belly but like many have told you listen to the dr and do what is told and all will be good. ((hugs))xo
