Laura Dugovic. Pageant. Kyle, Laura, Gev, and Courtney: Best Friends Forever. I'm almost certain of it.

My interview dress (and messy house)
right after I got home from doing the judges interviews.
my favorite part of the whole thing:
I got to meet Gev and Courtney from "So You Think You Can Dance?"
(only one of my favorite shows of all time.)
No, I wasn't crazy excited or anything.
Nope. Not at all.

and I got to kick it back stage with Johnny Revill!
He emceed the pageant with Emily, and he is completely hilarious
not to mention a totally killer singer as well. Way nice guy.

...and they are so amazing.
a.m.a.z.i.n.g!

Onstage interview.
The girl sitting next to me is the girl who won, and I am very happy for her.

All of us together on stage. these ladies were seriously so awesome.
I'm so glad I got to meet them.

and I'm so glad it's all done and over with.
I cannot say enough good things about Alicia Warnock (my pageant director)
and all of the wonderful women who put the event together.
In summary, this was TOTALLY my kind of thing 2 years ago,
but it is JUST NOT my thing anymore! And that's okay. My "thing" (or thingS rather) is motherhood, wifey-hood, spending time with friends, blogging to my heart's content, and lots and lots of humanitarian fundraising. That's what I'm most passionate about and most happy doing. I'm grateful that this experience helped me realize that more fully. I've learned that time is precious, and that I need to only choose to participate in activities that are going to be worthwhile, growth-oriented, and that will allow me to maintain some semblance of balance in my life! Ha ha! This has been one heck of a roller coaster (I haven't been at ease since November when I first had the idea for "the Love Swap") and I am ready to get off! I miss you guys. I miss stalking your blogs, and I miss your faces, and eating at CPK with you, and meeting new friends at completely random (not to mention awesome) blogger mix and mingles! I miss my real life. I can't tell you how good it feels to be back. I just can't tell you!

Wow---CPK sounds SO good right now:)

You look so pretty, and I'm ridiculously jealous that you met Courtney and Gev. Gev was totally my favorite last season. Maybe I'm a little big in love with him:)
