Not a bad way to start the day.

When I was given the choice between putting Kort in a.m. or p.m. kindergarten, I didn't even think twice. a.m. kindergarten - all the way. At the time, Kort was getting up at 7:00 a.m. sharp every morning - of course he would be up, ready, and rarin' to go at 8:15 - right?

w.r.o.n.g!!!

I couldn't have been more wrong!

Do you wanna know what the Kortmeister started doing only TWO measly months into the school year? That's right. Sleeping in!!! I have had to d...r...a...g... him out of bed every morning, dress his comatose little body, spoon oatmeal into to his sluggish little mouth, and p.u.l.l. him out the door every morning for MONTHS! It is crazy! But I have a new, ultra-fabulous secret weapon. Yep. I sure do.

Them.

Ahhhh...that's better!
Kort is waking up perky, smile-y, and "enthused" in every way imaginable!
Thanks Piper.
Thanks Sadie.
*Oh, and FYI: The owner of these dogs could no longer care for them, and as a result, we have taken them in and are trying to find them a great home. (Not just a good one, a GREAT one). They are purebred Pomeranians and they are sisters from the same litter who have been together since birth. We WILL NOT separate them under any circumstances. They are well trained, well-behaved, housebroken, gorgeous and best of all, they LOVE children (NOT a common trait amongst this particular breed. Sadie wrestles with Kort for hours and can't get enough. I wish, wish, wish, we could keep them, but four dogs in a 2,000 square foot house is just downright ghetto! We are selling them (together) for $300.00. Their personalities are to die for, plus they are really, really, ridiculously good-looking. Email me at serveutah@live.com if you want to meet them. (and believe me, you do.)

I love pomeranians, but my husband thinks they are just hairy rats. I wish we could take them. :(

I know, I love them too! These ones are ridiculous though, I must say. They are so freaking nice!

Love them. I need to get them outta my house before I decide they have to be mine! I know that I'm destined to be the crazy cat lady, but not now! Not today! I still have 30 good, non-ghetto/nasty years left in me!

I can do it!
I can resist!
I can!

Eek! How cute are they!! I am so showing these pictures to Leif... if we could find a home for my cat, I'm pretty sure we would take them. And $300?? I would get the family discount, right?

My husband is allergic, and I swore NEVER pets in the house, but these pictures are so cute I'm tempted. You have no idea what an accomplishment that is for you. Love your blog -- :)

I love the picture where Kort's head is almost buried, but you can still see the corners of a smile!

School starting before 9:00 totally sucks...don't forget that for next year!

And what a great alarm clock...what a lucky boy!
